I help organizations share stories that illustrate their purpose and passion to build connections, compel prospects, and motivate donors. I write case statements, annual appeals, capital campaign collateral, annual reports, presentations, slide decks, and most other fundraising fodder. My clients range from local startups to established global institutions. What they all share is a commitment to making the world a better place, whether it’s through the arts, education, advocacy, or social justice.
I learned about nonprofits from the inside. I spent 14 years at CulturalDC, a local nonprofit that creates spaces for artists and arts organizations. Thanks to a savvy team of creatives, we spearheaded arts-focused real estate development, facilitated artist housing opportunities, and opened two bricks-and-mortar arts spaces in DC: Flashpoint and Source. As Deputy Director, I oversaw internal operations, budgeting and financial management, HR, arts programming, and all things communications.
I’ve served on the Board of Directors for the Atlas Performing Arts Center and Innovation Network. I received my BA from Bowdoin College with a double major in art history and Russian. I live in Washington, DC with my husband, twin daughters, and Golden Retriever. And I’m passionate about smart design, fairy houses, and most things gingery.
